TuneView Pro for iPod | How It Works

To set up TuneView Pro in your home or office, connect the TuneView Pro dock to a stereo and/or TV and also connect the dock to an electrical outlet.

To use TuneView Pro to remotely manage music or video on your iPod, simply place the iPod in the TuneView Pro dock and pick up the TuneView Pro remote. The dock and remote communicate with each other via a 2.4 Ghz radio frequency (RF) signal at distances of 150 feet or more. *

As you press buttons on the remote, the dock queries the iPod each time that information is needed and transmits this data to the remote. With the color LCD screen and the ten buttons provided on the remote you can quickly and easily browse your iPod and control the iPod as if it were in your hands.

To obtain the best performance on the remote...
Within 75 feet of the dock you will typically find that the RF signal between the dock and the remote is strong (even when the signal is passing through 1-3 residential walls). In this area it will not matter which direction you are facing when using the TuneView Pro remote. Beyond 75 feet, if the signal is passing through 1 or more walls, you may find that you need to point the TuneView Pro remote in the general direction of the TuneView Pro dock in order to obtain good performance.

* Range of 150 feet or more is obtained in open space.
